Thalli has been taught all her life that the Scientists created her, and that everything they did was right. But Thalli is an anomaly, she feels emotions and that is strictly forbidden by the Scientists. She has hidden her feeling her whole life, but when she is overwhelmed by a piece of music, the Scientists discover her "sickness" and schedule her for annihilation. While she awaits her impending doom, she learns of One called "The Designer". She is told that He loves her and that He intended for her to have emotions. But can it be true? Is there really Someone in charge of her life besides the Scientists?
This was one of the best books I have read this year. I must admit, I have never actually read a Christian Dystopian book before this one, but I was very impressed! It reminds somewhat of "The Hunger Games", although the stories are very different. "Anomaly" is not nearly as dark as the "Hunger Games", but the story is fascinating and very well written. This was a great book, I highly recommend it to anyone old enough to grasp it. It is very clean, and there should not be anything in it most parents would find objectionable. But it is also a great adult book, it isn't childish or anything.
