Lone Star Trail by Darlene Franklin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is the touching story of how early Texas settlers struggled to overcome their prejudices against German immigrants. I liked how the author included German phrases throughout the story. It added a bit of realism, and it wasn't really all that hard to understand since a lot of the words seemed a bit similar to English. Texas Trails is an exceptional series. I really appreciate how the writers honor God, and the characters in the story do the same.
